Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
